Anytherm proudly presents the successful completion of one of the world’s largest steam air heating installations for a spray drying process. Delivered for a major corporation headquartered in Scandinavia, these impressive process air handling systems utilize steam generated from renewable biomass to heat air for large-scale industrial operations. For backup and peak demand, the units are also equipped with electrical air heating stages and have been delivered including complete thyristor control units. Additionally, the system efficiently utilizes 70°C wastewater for preheating, which was previously discharged without being used, contributing to the project’s overall energy efficiency. As a result, the entire system can be operated completely CO2-neutral and with 100% renewable energy!
Key Project Highlights:
- Steam Air Heaters: Our powerful systems handle up to 160’000 kg/h of production air, heating it from -20°C to +260°C.
- Electrical Air Heating Stages: Anytherm included powerful electrical air heating stages for backup and peak demand and delivered also the complete thyristor control units.
- Wastewater Preheating: Using 70°C wastewater which was previously discharged without being utilized, the systems overall efficiency could significantly be improved.
- Sustainable Energy Solutions: By utilizing biomass steam and wastewater, this project underscores our customer’s and Anytherm’s commitment to energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction.
- Impressive Engineering: With unit weights reaching up to 40’000 kg, these systems are designed to perform under extreme conditions, operating with steam pressures up to 30 barg.
- Comprehensive Service: Anytherm provided end-to-end solutions, from engineering analysis through to installation and commissioning supervision.
Why Choose Anytherm?
Anytherm specializes in the design and delivery of high-quality industrial air handling and heat recovery systems, processing anything from a few thousand kg/h up to over 200,000 kg/h. With years of expertise in industrial heating solutions, particularly steam air heating systems operating with steam pressures of up to 70 bar, we serve demanding process industries such as food/dairy, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. Our units are made of stainless steel, usually in hygienic design: fully welded, with extractable heat transfer, dehumidification, and filter elements for cleaning and inspection, and often equipped with clean-in-place (CIP) systems. We work closely with our international clients to deliver custom-made, high-quality systems at internationally competitive prices. In combination with our energy consulting team, which has extensive expertise in heat recovery and energy efficiency improvements in industrial processes, we help our customers implement energy-optimized and perfectly designed systems tailored to their specific needs.
